Meet Our Staff
Dr. Jason Otterbein, DMD
Dr. Jason Otterbein was born and raised in Whitehorse Yukon. He graduated from F H Collins High School. In 2005, Jason graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with his Doctor of Dental Medicine. He worked for 4 years in Inuvik before returning to Whitehorse in 2015 to practice at Whitehorse Dental with Dr. Nash and Dr. Jacob. In 2019, the three dentists purchased Pine Dental Clinic and continued to work together to provide the people of Whitehorse with up to date and experienced dentistry.
Dr. Amanda Sinclair, DDS
Dr. Amanda Sinclair originally moved to Yukon in 2005 and joined Pine Dental Clinic in early 2018. Dr. Sinclair comes to us with a lot of experience. She previously owned Riverstone Dental for eight years. She does extensive work with the Yukon Children's Dental Program.
In the fall of 2018, Dr. Sinclair expanded her current services and began offering orthodontic treatment to Yukoners.
When not at work, Dr. Sinclair can be found with her four beautiful children.
Tammy Kingston, RDH, MFT Certified, BSc.
Tammy moved to Whitehorse in March of 2016 from Terrace, British Columbia. She has been visiting the Yukon regularly for more than ten years. Tammy graduated from the College of New Caledonia in 2004. In 2012, she graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in Dental Sciences.
Tammy loves the outdoors and will spend her free time this summer, building her new home near Whitehorse.
Celeste Sundquist-Bendall, RDH
When you come to see Celeste you will be in experienced hands. A graduate of Vancouver Community College in 1996, she tries to make each visit informative, comfortable, and non-judgemental. When clients leave the office they will have information to make informed choices and have new skills and motivation to maintain a healthy mouth.
Celeste feels privileged to have lived in The Yukon for almost 19 years. When not working, she enjoys the outdoors, camping, gardening, bird watching, photography, and time with her two little dogs.
Dr Nils Pavey
Nils is from a small, quaint town in Quebec called Wakefield. He grew up canoe camping, playing sports and surrounded by family and friends. He completed a bachelors degree in biochemistry and a masters degree in Immunology at uOttawa and McGill University, respectively. In 2016 he moved to Vancouver Island where he worked in a cancer research lab in Victoria. He attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver for his Doctor of dental medicine degree. A lover of the outdoors, moving to Whitehorse was an easy decision. Be it the mountains, rivers, wildlife, snow, quiet, peacefulness, he really enjoys living in the Yukon. Nils is happy to be working at Pine dental with all the wonderful staff and is passionate about being able to help promote oral health in the territory.
